About the Cause
The money raised from this event will be used to support Dr. Massimo Cristofanilli's research on liquid biopsies at Northwestern Medicine.
Supporting this research will not only enable Dr. Cristofanilli's team to complete their trials but it also directly increases survivability in the high-risk cancer patients who will be able to take advantage of a personalized and precise treatment plan based on their unique genomic profile. The liquid biopsy is able to help people with advanced forms of breast, prostate, ovarian, lung, pancreatic and colon cancers.
Research is not covered by a patient's insurance so money raised from this event will allow patients in need to receive this critical treatment tool.

#LoveBeatsCancer is co-hosted by The Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) Foundation, EraseIBC whose mission is to raise awareness of Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) and help the fight for its cure. IBC is the most aggressive and dangerous of all breast cancers, and it is often misdiagnosed as an infection. We seek to minimize misdiagnosis and to change the perceived notion that all breast cancers begin with a lump. We educate the general public, doctors, hospitals and medical clinics, that you don't need to have a lump to have breast cancer.
IBC is treated differently, because it is different. Please join us in the fight to raise awareness and Erase IBC.
