About 80% of women feel dissatisfied with their bodies, regardless of their size. Feelings of shame and guilt leave them silent, or worst it becomes a norm in social circles creating unconscious disempowering conversations. Sometimes we can be our own worst enemies, how can we be compassionate towards others but not ourselves?
The relationship + connection with our body, mind and soul is one of the most important, but often leave ourselves for last.
Love Your Curvas works on uncovering what gets in the way of achieving our best mindset which creates our daily reality.
Curvas means curves in Spanish, in the last few years I've been immersed in a challenging journey of self acceptance which meant owning my curves after a significant amount of weight gain. I realized in the process that the way I spoke to myself greatly impacted how I felt especially in the fitting room.
Another aha moment when I got real with myself was that no matter where I landed on the scale I didn't feel enough, always racing towards the next thing I needed to fix.
I've looked at old photos where at the time I was obsessed with the idea that I was fat, only to realize now that it was all in my head. This pattern of thinking is not healthy and most of us have our own version of doing it.
Continuing to ignore our emotional well being creates ripple effects in our lives and it shows up everywhere! The relationship we have with others, our careers/work, health etc.
Healing the underlying sabotage is crucial to inner peace, happiness and health.
