Event Details

This is it, everyone - Love Stalker is finally making its official Chicago Premiere at 8PM on February 17, 2012!  Only 3 days after our Valentine's Day screening in St. Louis, this one is gonna be big!

Double-feature Poster

Our executive producer, the late Billy "Silver Dollar" Baxter, had agreed to present a 16mm print of his 1974 classic, Love & Anarchy, prior to his passing earlier this year.  Love & Anarchy, an outstanding, rich period piece with a young freckle-faced Giancarlo Giannini, will be screened at 10 PM following the premiere.

Our good friend and award-winning filmmaker, writer Michael G. Smith will be present to introduce both films and to conduct a Q&A with myself and my partner, B. Bowls MacLean, following the Love Stalker screening.

The gorgeous and classic Portage Theater has generously allowed us to rent the theater for the night, so it's going to be quite an event! If you've never been, it's quite a spectacle and is HUUUUGE, so please tell your friends and friends' friends 'cause we got a lot of seats to fill!

With Billy Baxter's passing, we lost a true original and we want to pay homage to his life and career and so we will also be presenting an interview with the man about his life in entertainment. This double-feature event is truly a book-end of his life in the film business in addition to it being our first unveiling of Love Stalker to a Chicago audience, so please try to make it out for what will surely be a memorable and special evening of film entertainment!

Please see our various ticket packages for a deal on DVD's and other perks - they can be purchased through Eventbrite and presented at the box-office the day of the screening or you can also also buy basic tickets at the theater the night of the event.

Love Stalker

"If David Lynch made a rom-com, it might look something like 'Love Stalker'" - Brian Solomon, The Vault of Horror

LOVE STALKER is an “unromantic comedy” shot in St. Louis, MO.  It’s the story of a 30-something bar-hopping player named Pete (writer/director Glasson) who is preoccupied with the idea of boosting his “golden number,” the total number of women that he has slept with.  Things change for him once he meets Stephanie (Rachel Chapman), a web-savvy relationship blogger. However, when she discovers the extent of Pete's player ways, she ends the relationship, driving him to stalker-like lengths in his rom-com inspired efforts to win her back.
