Crime Writer Mark Billingham will be discussing the 14th book in his Tom Thorne series with Head of Blackpool Libraries Mark McCree. Tackling the difficult and emotive subject of honour killings in the UK this shocking and topical thriller has received much critical acclaim.

Mark Billingham began his career as an actor, before branching out into stand-up comedy. He has appeared regularly at The Comedy Store, and on screen.

He also presents on TV and radio, hosting shows including Mark Billingham’s Rule Book of Crime and documentaries on everything from Patricia Highsmith to Columbo.

A Sunday Times number one bestseller, Mark’s first crime novel was published in 2001. Sleepyhead was later singled out by The Times as one of the novels that had shaped the decade.

Since then, each of Mark’s novels has been a Sunday Times Top Ten bestseller with sales totalling more than 4.5 million and books published in over twenty-five countries.

Novels Lazybones and Death Message both won the Theakstons Old Peculier Award for Crime Novel Of The Year. Mark’s latest novel, The Killing Habit will be published by Little, Brown Book Group in June 2018.
