Love in Action: An invitation to Engaged Buddhism

In the spirit of Engaged Buddhism, Extinction Rebellion Buddhists have been taking the deep wisdom and compassion of our faith tradition onto the streets as part of the Extinction Rebellion movement, for over four years. With other faith groups they have helped to raise awareness on the climate and ecological crisis, whilst helping to promote a regenerative culture which attends to the well-being of the Extinction Rebellion community.

At this event, Buddhists from various traditions will illustrate how Extinction Rebellion Buddhists have evolved their faith-based form of activism, and be reflecting on their experience of taking part in actions.

At this event we will also share details of our next protest which begins on April 21st where you are warmly invited to join us. This protest is a planned legal gathering organised to include a wide spectrum of other groups taking action on climate, justice and cost of living.
