Love East Bay: Fall Serve 2017

Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Grace Baptist Church, 16105 Mateo Street, San Leandro. Time & details are below! Register to volunteer for this community service event—aimed at reaching our neighbors in the East Bay.

Registration Details:

  • You normally register for only ONE project per person for the morning of Oct 28.
    *Exceptions: If you register for Publicity / Setup / Cleanup, please also register for 1 regular Service Project.
  • You can register for yourself plus others, all on one (1) Registration Form!

DONATIONS:

  • Contribute Financially: You can make an online Credit Card donation! Just click REGISTER, Select "DONATION: Support Love East Bay" and type an amount you want to donate!
  • Item Donations: Bring items to the Pre-setup on Friday (5PM) if possible.

Register even to just PRAY:

Everybody should register for "Intercessory Prayer": we need you and your friends to be praying for this outreach event. *Whether you come out on Oct 28 or not, please register for "Intercessory Prayer" so that we may know you are praying for us!




EVENT TIME & DETAILS:

On Saturday October 28, we will meet at 8am for free Breakfast fellowship, then Opening Ceremony at 8:30am, and then proceed with your project team to serve at your Project Locations! After projects, go back to Grace Baptist Church for BBQ Lunch & 1PM Celebration Ceremony.

SCHEUDLE OF EVENTS:

  1. VOLUNTEER CHECK-IN begins 8:00 AM @ Grace Baptist Church, with a Continental Breakfast provided free for volunteers.
    *At check-in, you will receive a Project Information Card, for the project you registered for.

  2. OPENING CEREMONY begins 8:30 AM sharp @ Grace Baptist Church: a time of worship, prayer, and instructions.

  3. SERVICE PROJECTS begin ~9:30 AM, after Opening Ceremony @Project Locations. Most projects should finish by 12:30 PM.
    * Some exceptions may apply—certain projects may have special start/end time; take note of your Project's details.

  4. BBQ Lunch @ Grace Baptist Church, Parking Lot. This free outreach to the community runs 11AM-2PM.

    Volunteers: as soon as your project finishes, come over to the BBQ to fellowship and interaction with neighbors. Raffle prizes will be given away; sharing & encouragement from volunteer leaders.

ITEMS available for PURCHASE: You may also purchase items by adding your selections to your Registration:

  • BBQ Lunch Ticket (for volunteers only) $5
  • Raffle Ticket (1 for $1)
  • Raffle Ticket (6 for $5)
    *Volunteers are encouraged to purchase raffle tickets & give them to neighborhood residents to win prizes!
    **Raffle Drawing is 1PM during Celebration Ceremony at Grace Baptist church.

    **Available for online ORDER & then pick-up item at the event.

    NOTE: *Larger sizes are $5 extra. **When paying by credit card, additional processing fee may apply.


BBQ LUNCH & CELEBRATION CEREMONY

Grace Baptist Church, Parking Lot:
After projects, all
volunteers are expected to come to the BBQ lunch & 1PM Celebration Ceremony. There will be a jump house, raffle prizes, and a time of celebrating the events of the day.

  • *This BBQ LUNCH is a FREE community outreach, so please come and connect with your neighbors, and share with them the love of Christ!
  • Volunteers are asked to pay $5 for the lunch to cover costs (cash or credit card).
    *Volunteers can add Lunch ticket to your Eventbrite registration. Lunch tickets can also be purchased at the event.

Will I get a donation receipt? Is my gift tax deductible?

Yes! Donations should be submitted to our participating churches and are tax deductible as a Non-Profit charitable donation through that church.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Yes, please BRING your TICKET for registration check-in on 10/28 (digital or printed), as this will help get you checked-in quckly! For pickup of T-Shirts/Hoodies paid on Eventbrite, please bring your ticket & show it as proof-of-purchase!

What donations do you need?

  • Various items, cash donations will tremendously help our ministry!
  • You can also donate via credit card through Eventbrite: Click "Register" & just add a Donation amount to your order.
  • Item Donations: Bring donations the Friday evening just prior to Love East Bay, or the morning of event day to Registration Check-in table.
