About this Event

A film screening of Love and Bananas: An Elephant Story, exposes the dark truth behind elephants being used for riding and performance in Asia. This must see movie follows the rescue of an elephant from the trekking industry to freedom at Elephant Nature Park.

Guest speaker Lek Chailert, world renowned conservationist and founder of Elephant Nature Park and Save Elephant Foundation, will be available for a Q&A and to speak on the ongoing plight of the Asian elephant and dire struggles they face as a species in the spotlight of the wildlife tourism industry. She will highlight ethical options for educated travel to these countries and share her historic journey as the leading female animal conservationist in Southeast Asia.
