Louisville's own Victor Mature
Description
Louisville's own Victor Mature has been selected to be the 20th image in the hometown hero project. Greater Louisville Pride, a 501(c)3, along with Decca Restaurant are featuring Victor in his notable role as "the original Doc Holiday" in the film "My Darling Clementine" with Henry Fonda directed by John Ford. We need need to raise $7,000 to cover the costs of getting his image into the Shelby Park neighborhood on a historic building that once housed their family grocery.
This event will be hosted by Decca Restaurant on January 24, 2013. There are 2 showings of "My Darling Clementine" 6:30pm and 9:30pm. Please join us half and hour before the showing for libations and hors d'oeuvres (brought to you by Korbel and Decca).
Immediately following the showing will be a talk back with Louisville's George Parker, who is currently working on a PBS documentary about KMI. (One of the many educational institutions attended by Victor)
You can purchase tickets below or make an open donation to the project. Thanks so much for your support!
