In response to the 2016 Louisiana flood, hundreds of Blue Cross employees are reaching out about how to help the thousands of people displaced by floods. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana employees can use Team Blue hours to volunteer with flood relief groups.
Before volunteering, you must first check with your managers for approval.
As of now, employees can use Team Blue hours for approved organizations, non-profits, shelters, churches coordinating shelters, the Team Blue Cleanup Crew or another non-profit organization doing cleanup.
If you are interested in doing any of these volunteer efforts, please complete this registration form and indicate what you'd like to do. Community Relations will then contact you as opportunities become available.
If you volunteer for any events, you will need to fill out the Team Blue Flood Form and return it to Community Relations. If you volunteer for the Team Blue Cleanup Crew, you will need to follow these directions and use this form.
Once you know where you are volunteering, you can come to Community Relations to pick up a Team Blue volunteer T-shirt if you do not already have one. Community Relations is located on the 2nd Floor of the Customer Service Center. If you are coming from the Administration or Ops Building, take the glass tunnel on the second floor over to the Customer Service Center and it is the first door on your left once you exit the tunnel – Room C2300.
