Frontline facilities must plan and prepare for the possibility of caring for patients with an emerging or re-emerging infectious disease.

About this Event

Target audience: Emergency managers, emergency room nurse leaders, infection control

This training serves to provide guidance for frontline facilities to plan, prepare, and train for an emerging or re-emerging infectious disease (EID) event. With the increase in global travel, a person may self present to a frontline facility with an emerging, highly infectious disease. Facilities must be ready to respond and take the appropriate actions to protect healthcare workers and the general public from the potential spread of a deadly disease.

  2. Los Angeles County EID Response and Coordination
  3. EID planning and preparation - Identify, Isolate, & Inform
  4. Waste Management
  5. Donning and Doffing Principles

This course is approved by California BRN CEP #17168. Please arrive 15 minutes early for check in and registration.
