Event description

Description

Architecture and design firm Lord Aeck Sargent and University of Michigan's Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning unite to honor the late Terry Sargent through a retrospective exhibit, "Triptychs."

The exhibit will open with a strolling brunch on Nov. 12, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Liberty Research Annex and will be open to the public daily from 3-7 p.m. through Jan. 6, 2017.

Terry Sargent was an alumnus of Taubman College, where he received his Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Urban Planning degrees. He went on to become a founding partner of architecture and planning firm Lord Aeck Sargent and served as the firm's Senior Design Principal from 1983 to 2014.

The exhibit will include Terry Sargent’s concept sketches, Barbara Ratner’s renderings and Jonathan Hillyer’s architectural photographs illustrating in evolutionary fashion their work in common on seven different commissions, from initial concepts through built projects. Written commentary by surviving collaborators will accompany each project.
