Event description

Description

I am Known as S. Monique Smith-Person, an Unidentifiable Missing Person, advocate, community service leader, mentor, author, mother and wife. Years ago, I started my journey to discover who I am and where I began after receiving the devastating news that I was stolen as a child. I became well acquainted with libraries, law facilities and wonderful people who have helped me make advancements along the way. Mid way through my fight, I had a light bulb moment which lead me to realize, I must share my story not only for me, but for my children and all those unspoken voices whose plight is similar with mine. With this realization I spent my time advocating for Missing Children and I also became a self-published author. By becoming an author, I was able to spread my story and awareness for those like me, creating a platform for thousands to be found. As the years have passed, I have fought hard for the Missing, Unidentifiable, and Trafficked. Over $60,000.00 has been raised over the years from Awareness Campaigns, Drives, and Speaking Engagements. Funds included generous donations from an amazing Networking Community for non-profits and those in need over the last 10 years. In this time KAM First Responders was created which is an initiative that was created allowing the community to assist law enforcement search for missing persons during Amber and Missing Persons Alerts. Also, during this time, I created a self-help book called “Strong Talk; The New Norm” for parents to be aware of abduction dangers, but most importantly…It shares how to have ongoing conversations with our youth.

My story has touched the hearts of hundreds and now I am on the path to turn that number into thousands. Time to take the years of hard work and pain to further push my purpose. THIS is the next step in my journey to be heard for the voices crying out to be found….to shine a larger light of HOPE for the love-ones still searching for their Missing.

Fundraising

I am aiming to raise $20,000.000 to produce a 3-segment docuseries highlighting my life, advocacy work and a global issue that there is major Crisis Among Us right in our backyards.

There will be expenses for film production, traveling, t-shirts, promotional memorabilia to reach MAJOR networks, news rooms and companies, and funding for the premiere event. As always, with each of the endeavors we’ve had, a percentage of the proceeds raised will be donated to non-profits serving survivors. That piece of my mission will never stop. Any money raised above the cost of the production will also be donated to similar charities who host both Missing Children and Human Trafficking initiatives.
