Long Island Independent Higher Education Forum: Brainpower, Partnerships and Resources for Our Region
Friday, May 10, 2013 from 8:45 AM to 11:00 AM (EDT)
Long Island's private, not-for-profit colleges and universities, in conjunction with the Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities in New York, invite you to join us for the “Long Island Independent Higher Education Forum: Brainpower, Partnerships and Resources for Our Region.”
More than 50,000 students enroll each year at independent, not-for-profit colleges and universities on Long Island. These campuses directly employ 10,900 individuals and contribute $2.8 billion to the New York State economy annually. Along with their role as anchor tenants, Independent Sector campuses also are talent magnets, workforce and innovation catalysts and community partners.
The forum will highlight partnerships and provide an opportunity for exchanging ideas and networking for higher education, government, business and community leaders.
