Event description

Description

Join fellow writers as we host a monthly salon series featuring an interview to inspire you, writing tools to help you move forward, and a writing group to keep you accountable to your creative ambitions.

Whether you’re at the start of your writing journey or deep into your writing we’re here to support you. Whether you’re planning a book, a blog or musing over poetry, we invite you to join a writing salon made just for you.

Each Salon will feature three marvellous parts:
> 1) Writers on Writing: an ask-an-author anything conversation with top authors, bloggers, screenwriters, journalists and travellers on the artist’s journey and the art of building a writing career in the 21st century.

> 2) Writers Who Write: group led writing exercises to help you implement and use what you’ve learned directly to your work.

> 3) Writer’s Plan: holding you accountable to your monthly goal.

In January's London Writer's Salon we'll cover: how to set ambitious but achievable writing goals, building bullet-proof habits to stick to your goals, and becoming a more prolific writer in 2019 and beyond.

You'll also hear from a special guest writer (to be announced) on their writing journey – the successes and the struggles – and what it takes to make it as a successful writer today.

Guest Writer: TBD. Each Writer's Salon will be visited by a guest writer for an ask-me-anything conversation on what it takes to be a successful author today.

Your Hosts:

Matt Trinetti is a former IBM consultant turned writer, publisher, TEDx speaker, and career change facilitator at Escape The City where he helps unfulfilled professionals pursue more creative work and reinvent their careers. He's written for Quartz, Observer, Huffington Post, and on his blog GiveLiveExplore.com.

Parul Bavishi is an editor and writing coach. She has worked with award-winning authors, first-time writers and everyone in between at Penguin Random House, Quercus (Hachette) and Cornerstones. She is the founder of Publishing Uncovered, an editorial services company and will be launching a podcast for writers later this month where she will interview colleagues from the publishing industry (agents, editors, writers) as well as experts from the self-publishing world.
