Description

London Short Series festival is a celebration of the storytelling power of the Internet.

Part of a worldwide network of festivals, London Short Series is an opportunity for digital content creators and audiences to unite for three days to celebrate online storytelling. The festival provides filmmakers and film lovers with a unique opportunity to showcase and partake in original screenings, masterclasses and networking sessions and meet directly producers, cast and crew of numerous film productions as part of the festival.

Festival Programme Highlights 2019:

  • Editing Masterclass or the 'Art of storytelling' by the BAFTA nominated editor Tony Kearns of Netflix's Bandersnatch (Black Mirror Series) phenomenon.

  • 'Content Strategy: A Brave New World' Masterclass with Anne Santamaria, content acquisitions and commissioning consultant.

  • 'British Vibe' at opening night - best of UK and exclusive screening of Whatever After series, directed by BAFTA nominated director Jack Jewers. Followed by a panel with cast and crew.

  • 'French Touch' at closing night - best of France and French productions.

  • 'Comedy Panel', moderated by former senior digital producer at BBC comedy Brian Luff

  • 'Writers' Pitch' - screenplay pitching contest in front of audience and festival jury, including special screening of 2018's winner Katie McNiece and her award-winning short film In Orbit.

  • Medley of Screening Blocks with shorts, series and music videos of Selection 2019.

  • Awards Ceremony
