Event description
Join us for another awesome event, exploring PyTorch over a few drinks at an awesome venue.

About this Event

Following the success of our first event, we are happy to announce that the next one will be taking place on Tuesday September 4th. We made an effort to cover three different industries that use PyTorch to ensure that the event is of interest to a broad audience. The talks from Microsoft, Monzo and NHS will take place between 7pm and 8pm, with plenty of time for networking both before and after. Hope to see many of you there!

Agenda:

6:30 - Networking and drinks

7:00 - "Mental models for deep learning" by Luke Harries, AI Resident at Microsoft Research

7:20 - TBA, Neal Lathia from Monzo

7:40 - TBA, Magnus Lynch from Centre for Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine, King's College London and Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust

8:00 - Q&A session

8:10 - More networking and drinks

All attendees must comply with the code of conduct included below. Please note that we intend to take photos during the event. Please let us know in advance if you would rather not be photographed.

Code of conduct:

We value the participation of every member of the London PyTorch community and want all attendees to have an enjoyable and fulfilling experience. We are dedicated to providing a harassment-free networking and learning environment for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, choice of text editor or operating system. We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form. Accordingly, all attendees are expected to show respect and courtesy to other attendees throughout the event and in associated interactions online. Everyone taking part in the events organised by London PyTorch Meetup is required to conform to the following Code of Conduct. - All communication should be appropriate for a professional audience including people of many different backgrounds.

- Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any event.

- Be kind to others. Do not insult or put down other attendees. Be careful in the words that you choose. Remember that sexist, racist, and other exclusionary jokes can be offensive to those around you.

- Behave professionally. Remember that harassment and sexist, racist, or exclusionary jokes are not appropriate. Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention. Participants asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately.

If a participant engages in behaviour that violates this code of conduct, the organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event with no refund of any fee that may have been levied.

Thank you for helping make this a welcoming, inclusive community for all.
