What's going on?

A free meetup in Finsbury Park to celebrate the growth of mixed gender football in London on Sunday 18th March.

There will be football games for both beginners and intermediates followed by a social in the park or the pub. We will aim for equal numbers of men and women for each game! We will bring the balls, bibs and football equipment. Introductions, warmup, team selection and games will start at 1pm.

Who is this for?

Anyone over 18 who wants to play some casual fun football. Complete beginners to intermediate players are welcome. When everyone arrives we shall see if people want separate beginner and intermediate games or have mixed ability teams.

What to bring?

Trainers / football boots (no metal studs) and water. Shinpads are recommended. If the weather is good, feel free to bring food and drinks!

What are the rules?

- Make sure you are in a mood to have fun and try and be on time

- Goalkeepers: everybody will play as a goalie. We rotate on goal every 6-7 minutes

- Any kind of aggressive behavior will not be tolerated

- Only those with tickets or members of Kickr Academy and Social Sports Mix can play.

How can I join in?

Please sign up for your ticket on Eventbrite. Ticket numbers are limited so get yours before they run out. We cannot guarantee you will be able to get involved if you do not sign up. If tickets have been sold out, check back regularly as more may potentially be released.

Where is it?

Where we will be meeting in Finsbury Park will be emailed to all those who have registered for a ticket. This event may be postponed if there are adverse weather conditions.

Kickr Academy runs a 10 week football and fitness courses for absolute beginners and intermediates. Each week, you'll learn a footballing skill (ball control, passing, tackling etc.), get the chance to practice it in a fun way, and have a period of fitness training to turn you from wheezing no-hoper to twinkle-toed Gazza in no time. Social Sports Mix is a meetup for anyone interested in sports and meeting new people in London.
