Using TensorFlow and Inception to Diagnose Breast Cancer by Stephen Morrell by PhD student in digital imaging at UCL
Inception v4 achieved 97% accuracy classifying photographs into 1000 classes which surpasses human accuracy. We are applying this to breast cancer diagnosis where the classification of mammograms is often inaccurate with up to 25% of cancers missed on the first screen.
Speaker: Stephen Morrell by PhD student in digital imaging at UCL
Stephen is a PhD student in digital imaging at UCL. Previously I was a derivative structurer and worked in investment banking for 20 years.
Deploying TensorFlow on Kubernetes with Seldon
Machine learning is now everywhere, with no shortage of open-source technologies and new and updated tools released every week – from streaming databases to machine learning libraries and pre-trained models. It’s easier than ever to train a model, but piecing together the components to deploy, optimise and scale machine learning in production is time consuming and expensive. Too many companies are reinventing the wheel by building and maintaining their own infrastructure.
Seldon helps data scientists and developers focus on solving problems by providing a fully integrated open-source machine learning platform and infrastructure. Kubernetes has transformed the way in which Seldon deploys to any cloud platform and on bare metal servers. At TensorFlow London, Alex will give a technical overview of Seldon, share its transition to a fully dockerized set of containers running inside Kubernetes, and demonstrate how to deploy a TensorFlow model on Seldon’s machine learning infrastructure.
Speaker: Alex Housley, Founder & CEO at Seldon
Alex has been building mobile and analytics start-ups since 2003. He is currently CEO and founder of Seldon, a start-up with a purpose to help people solve some of the world’s biggest problems with machine intelligence. Seldon provides machine learning infrastructure that serves hundreds of millions of recommendations and predictions per month. Seldon works with a diverse client-base including some of the world’s largest and most innovative companies, and a global community of data scientists and developers uses its open-source technology. Recognised as one of the UK’s top AI start-ups, Seldon is part of Barclays Accelerator powered by Techstars, where its talented team are solving high-value problems in the finance sector.
