The starter - Professional Scrum Master (Scrum.org two PSM 1 attempts) Description:

Professional Scrum Master (PSM) is a 2-day course that covers the principles and (empirical) process theory underpinning the Scrum framework, and the role of the Scrum Master in it. This course is a combination of instruction and team-based exercises.

Over an intensive 2 days, students will see why PSM is the cutting-edge course for effective Scrum Masters and for anyone coaching a software development team toward increased efficiency and effectiveness.

Throughout the course, students are challenged to think in terms of the Scrum principles to better understand what to do when returning to the workplace. The PSM course is interactive, experiential, and uses techniques from "Training from the Back of the Room". In this course, students work on real-life cases with other class-mates together as a team. This course is made up of discussions and hands-on exercises based upon real-life cases.

The course covers all the topics related to Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I), Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II) and Professional Scrum Master III (PSM III) certification assessments.

The main course - Certified Less Practioner Description :

Large-Scale Scrum (LeSS) is a framework for scaling agile development to multiple teams. LeSS builds on top of the Scrum principles such as empiricism, cross-functional self-managing teams and provides a framework for applying that at scale. It provides simple structural rules and guidelines on how to adopt Scrum in large product development.

LeSS is to the organization what Scrum is to the team: a simple, powerful, large-scale product development framework designed to evolve into something that fits perfectly with any unique context.

If you are not moving at the speed of the marketplace you're already dead - you just haven't stopped breathing yet. - Jack Welch

The organization structure in which most of us operate today can be quite an obstacle to respond adequately to a fast-changing business environment. In fact, traditional organization structures are not designed to deal with a Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous (VUCA) world. This leads to employees feeling disengaged from their companies, and to companies being outpaced by their competition.

Consequently, organizations need to redesign their structures to cope with the phenomenon and increase their capability to move faster than the competition, incorporate new technology, learn new skills...

LeSS will give you exactly that competitive advantage!

Some of this course will be based on Training from the Back of the Room using new training content.

A foundation in Scrum is needed for this 3 day Certified LeSS Practitioner course. Why not attend a 2-day Professional Scrum Master course the weekend before this course. See details here.

I was impressed with the training and with Jurgen

Beth Kelly
Operations Project Manager SpareFoot

Jurgen was an excellent trainer and facilitator. He answered all questions but first challenged the participants to figure out the answers ourselves. He was able to relate to the developers on a personal level b/c of past experience: this bought him credibility that most trainers do not have. Most of the training was spent doing exercises in groups, which kept me engaged and interested. That also made the content feel real. I was really impressed with the training and by Jurgen

Agenda :

Note: Basic Scrum knowledge is expected and can be achieved by attending a Certified ScrumMaster or a Professional ScrumMaster course, or thoroughly reading Scrum introduction material such as the Scrum Primer and practising Scrum.

Highly Dynamic - lots of concrete examples - from experiences in larger and smaller companies - good focus on what we need to implement and learn - good highlight on differences when going large scale.
