Join a podcast at the intersection of science, policy, and advocacy for a live show featuring venomous snails and science diplomacy.

On June 2nd, the Science Soapbox podcasting squad interviews marine chemical biologist Dr. Mandë Holford. We'll chat about everything from her world travels searching for snail venoms that can save lives to the power of scientists in international relations - all recorded in front of you, our live studio audience. Join us and be a part of our podcast conversation! For past episodes, check out sciencesoapbox.org/podcast

Dr. Mandë Holford is as an Associate Professor in Chemistry at Hunter College and CUNY-Graduate Center, with scientific appointments at the American Museum of Natural History and Weill Cornell Medical College. Her joint appointments reflect her interdisciplinary research, which combines chemistry and biology to discover, characterize, and deliver novel peptides from venomous marine snails as tools for manipulating cellular physiology in pain and cancer. She is co-founder of KillerSnails.com , a learning games company, and RAISEW.org, an NSF project to increase women in science. Learn more about her work: http://raisenyc.org/
