Lock picking or "lock sport" can be a lot of fun as well as being a practical skill. In this workshop, we will learn some of the more common varieties of locks encountered today and how to pick / bypass them.
Students will receive their own set of Sparrows lock picks. These picks are very high quality and will provide students with an excellent starter kit. Students will also receive a Master #3 padlock. The Number 3 is one of the most common locks in use today and can be used to practice and hone your skills over time.
Over the course of the workshop, we will cover the types of locks in common use today as well as their variations and security features. We will discuss common picking techniques and will work our way through clear acrylic practice locks first by sight, then by feel. A selection of other locks will also be provided to demonstrate different keyways / security features.
