As our winter season begins, we are again reminded of how grateful we are for our hardworking farmers and the bountiful produce they lovingly grow for us. Once our produce is in our homes, we want to ensure that we are making the most of each piece and caring for it the way our farmers did as it grew on their land. A heartbreaking thought is having to throw out produce that has gone bad and there are endless ways to avoid that sad scenerio.
Local Roots NYC is partnering with Brittany from Sparkle Kitchen in our third Cooking Club to teach tricks and tips for making your produce last and letting it nourish you before going bad! Join avid home chefs and those who are newer to the kitchen as we share skills and learn new recipes in this cooking class style event. All produce will be sourced from Local Roots NYC farmers and we will end the evening gathering around the table to enjoy our meal together, family style.
This event is open to Local Roots NYC members and non-members, all are welcome!
