"Local Response to a Hazmat Incident in El Paso County and Colorado Springs"

The Colorado Emergency Preparedness Partnership (CEPP) and the Colorado Emergency Planning Committee (CEPC) invite you to attend a Chemical Safety Workshop to learn how first responders and the Local Emergency Planning Committees (LEPC's) plan for and respond to a hazardous materials spill or leak in El Paso County and Colorado Springs.

This workshop will include the following discussions:

  • What are the chemical threats in El Paso County?
  • What is the local response capability for hazardous material incidents in El Paso County?
  • What can a facility expect when it calls 9-1-1?
  • How do facilities work with the Local Emergency Planning Committee?

Regulated industry is encouraged to attend this free workshop to better understand the first responder cabilities within their community to respond to a hazmat incident. Representatives from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will also be in attendance to answer questions on the federal programs.

***There will be a morning and afternoon session to accomodate more facilities.  Both sessions will discuss the same information.   Please pick the one that suits your schedule best.
