Local Queer River Trip

Cheers Queers, it's time to get wet and wild with Local Queer!

We're taking a party bus down to the Comal for a fun day in the sun you can't miss! Get ready to pop, lock, and drop it all the way down to New Braunfels and back!

Your ticket cost covers:

• Party rocking bus trip to and from the Comal with your favorite local queer friends
• Water on the bus

This event is Bring Your Own Alcohol! Please note: Disposable containers are NOT ALLOWED on the Comal - you must put your drinks in a reusable water bottle or other cup while on the river.

Bring with you:

• ID
• Cooler with drinks to leave on the bus (small coolers or plan to share your ice - space is limited!)
• Cup for your drink while floating
• Towels
• Floats/Tubes (double tubes or anything larger than 5' are not allowed)
• Money if you need to rent tubes ($20-25) or buy lunch
• Lunch if you don't want to buy!
• Sunscreen
• Sunglasses
• Waterproof bags
• Waterproof phone case

You must be 21+ to ride on the bus - IDs will be checked before loading

We will have some electric inflators for those that bring their tubes, but please bring your own if you have one!

We will be meeting in the Walmart parking lot in South ATX off I-35 and 290 (710 E Ben White Blvd, Austin, TX 78704) to load the bus! Items brought on the bus can remain secured on the bus while we float.

PLEASE DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE. Assign a designated driver if you plan to drink, or catch a ride share from the bus!

***We have reserved one bus with 25 available spots. Once all 25 tickets have sold, we will open a waitlist for additional attendees. We will reserve additional buses in 25 person increments. Please join the waitlist!***

Local Queer caters to the sapphic and transgender communities but all identities and sexualities are welcome at any of our events.

COVID Policy: There is an inherent risk of COVID-19 at any event where people are gathered in close quarters. By attending this event, you acknowledge and accept this risk. We recommend that attendees be vaccinated and boosted but will not be checking status. Attendees are encouraged to participate at their own comfort level.

Photography: Local Queer events are photographed by organizers for future promotions. By attending this event, you acknowledge and accept that your picture may be taken and used in future marketing materials and social media posts by Local Queer.

Refund Policy: Ticketed Local Queer events are nonrefundable or transferable through Local Queer. Privately arranged ticket transfers may be made as long as Local Queer receives notice from the original purchaser to change the name on the current ticket. Requests from parties other than the original purchaser will not be honored.
