Event description
Come celebrate and support the Bay Area arts community in these exhibitions featuring scores of local artists working across all mediums!

About this event

The Local Love Spring Art Festival is a two part event with the first exhibit May 7-16, 2021 at Terra Gallery in San Francisco, and the second exhibit from June 15-20, 2021 at BLOC15 in Oakland.

After more than a year of quarantine, where are all the Bay Area artists and what have they been making? Installations, interactive art, murals, films, dance, sculpture, music and more. Come celebrate and support the diverse Bay Area arts community at these in-person exhibitions, featuring scores of amazing local artists working across all mediums!

Artists:

We have curated more than 30 Bay Area artists for the 20,000 square ft. exhibition and we have scores more participating in the daily music and outdoor vending programs on Friday evenings and weekend days. For the complete program and artist list please visit: https://locallove.io

Venue + Attending:

The ten day art festival will take place at Terra Gallery, one of San Francisco’s premier event venues that features 24,000 square feet of exhibition space on two floors, with an additional 6000+ square feet of gated exterior area for local music, food, and drinks.

Daily Tickets are $30 / Kids are Free.

There are a limited number of tickets available for each day to keep the attendance numbers comfortable for all.

Entry to the gated outdoor area with daily music, food, and drinks is always free but requires a ticket so we can track attendance. Local arts, crafts, and fashion vendors are featured on Fridays and Weekends.

Hours of Operation:

Weekdays: 4pm - 9pm | Saturdays: 11am - 9pm | Sundays: 11am - 6pm

Fun & Safe!

We have created a very unique and safe exhibition plan which allows small groups to enter one side of the building and exit the opposite side on the second floor creating a one directional experience. All patrons can return to the gated outdoor area for social distanced food, drinks, and music. On Friday nights and weekend days, we will feature local arts, crafts, music, and fashion vendors in the exterior area. Masks are required at all times inside the exhibit and when not eating or drinking outside.

Support Local Art & Businesses:

This is a community minded event, designed to support the participating local artists. If you attend the event here is where the money goes:

1/3 of all ticket sales go to the participating artists fund.

We also have donation tickets for those who cannot attend the event, but want to support the artists. 100% of the donation ticket goes to the participating artist fund.

1/3 of all ticket sales go to the production costs, event staffing, promotions, installation, event insurance, and web development.

1/3 goes to the venue who has agreed to provide a drink with each ticket purchase.

We are using Eventbrite’s technology to give all of the participating artists a unique and trackable ticket link. If you have a specific artist you want to directly support, contact them or check their Instagram page and buy a ticket with their link. (You can find artist contact at https://locallove.io)They will receive 50% of 1/3 of the general admission ticket price attributed to their ticket link, or 50% of the donation ticket price. The other half will go into the general artist fund. We think this is the most democratic way of handling sales and promotions attributed to each artist or group.

All of our financial data and methods will be published post event for all to see and learn from. We are hoping this will be a success for all of the artists and a safe and enjoyable experience for all who attend.

Press Events:

We will have a press night for each exhibit the day before each opening night. Press can come meet all of the participating artists and review the exhibition. We also have an interview stage at each venue if press wants to use it to interview artists.

San Francisco Press Night: Thursday, May 6, 2021 4pm - 8pm, Terra Gallery, 511 Harrison St. San Francisco, CA.

All press inquiries or general questions can be sent to events@musepop.io

We would like to thank Terra Gallery for supporting the Local Love project and making their space available to a community event for the benefit of local arts and culture. We would also like to thank everyone for their hard work in keeping the Bay Area safe over the last year. We look forward to seeing you in person!

Thank you for supporting local artists and businesses!
