This is the first Midlands peer group meeting for the Local Government Digital Service Standard (LGDSS). The LGDSS was recently developed by the LocalGov Digital Network, with help from the Government Digital Service (GDS), for adoption by councils across the UK.
LocalGov Digital is the network for digital practitioners in local government. Its aim is to collaboratively improve digital service provision from councils.
The aim of this meetup is to explore how a Midlands peer group can best support people working in councils in the Midlands to build digital services using the new standard. We’ll be discussing:
How digital service standards are improving services for citizens
Implementing the standard in your organisation
How councils can work together to share expertise and peer support
This meeting is for council staff who are involved in creating and delivering digital services.
It will be facilitated by:
Julia McGinley - Lead Business Analyst at Coventry City Council
Kurtis Johnson - Digital Services Manager at Leicestershire County Council
