Description

Inviting all growers, ranchers, schools and child care providers to learn how we can work together to provide locally grown foods for kids in southwestern North Dakota.

Join us for an information rich day where attendees will learn how to successfully sell their locally grown produce to schools and child care centers. Deb Egeland, Assistant Director of Child Nutrition Programs for ND Department of Public Instruction will cover topics ranging from what and why Farm to School? to what contracts are needed and resources to help local growers get going! Kevin Pavlish, Environmental Department Head for SW District Health Unit will join in to talk about local regulations.

There is no cost to attend! Registration is required though for planning purposes. DSU's Ag Club will be proving lunch with attendees invited to make a free will offering for lunch.
