Event description

Description

Enjoy an evening in appreciation of all the greatbut often unsungheroes of local agriculture, sustainability and food access in our community. The celebration will be held Thursday, May 24th at 6 pm at Magdalena's, where Chef Juan Rodriguez will delight guests with his one-of-a-kind experiences. Named for his grandmother, Magdalena's sources much of their food locally, just as she taught him to do—shopping at farmers markets for fresh ingredients and cooking over open fire. Blending Spanish, Mexican and Southern cuisines flawlessly, Chef Juan is best known for having the hottest supper club in town.

75 guests will be treated to VIP valet parking, a signature cocktail, passed hor d'oeuvres and a brief awards ceremony in the garden, followed by a four course dinner with wine in their unique and intimate dining room.

Awards will be given in five categories to recognize outstanding achievements by local growers, restaurants, innovative businesses, leadership and a very special Changemaker award to a citizen who has made particular impact on our community. Nominations and voting will take place online from April 15-May 15 and the winners will be announced and celebrated on this very special evening!

The event will raise funds to help further the mission of the Tarrant County Food Policy Council in making healthy, affordable, sustainable foods accessible wherever people live, work, learn, and play.

This exclusive dinner honoring local growers, innovators and leaders in our community is not to be missed!
