About Leanne Down

Leanne’s business, fundraising, marketing & communications career now spans 26+ years. Before joining Werribee Hospital Foundation she spent 3 years in an executive role for an environmental not-for-profit. Prior to that, 11 years were spent with a major international fundraising consultancy where she assisted a wide range of not-for-profit clients build successful and sustainable multi-channel fundraising programs. Her career also expanded over the sectors of advertising, law and printing.

Leanne brings wide-ranging experience and strategic nous to her role at the Foundation, where she is leading a dynamic team to help make a difference in the community and support the local public hospital in the City of Wyndham.

A born ‘people person’, Leanne enjoys connecting generosity to innovation to help ensure the community has the hospital services they need. She say’s, “I love meeting inspiring people through my work and I enjoy hearing their stories, what moves them and what motivates them to support the Foundation.”

Leanne studied marketing at university and is surrounded by many family members who work in the medical field.

When Leanne – known as Lee – is not at work, she is a proud mum of two boys and keeps herself very busy doing the sports activities run around with her husband, socialising with her much loved family and friends, and getting out and about exploring all that Victoria has to offer.
