Junior League of San Joaquin County is an organization of “Women Building Better Communities.” We are dedicated to ensuring a strong community by strengthening its foundation through education. Junior League encourages academic success by providing computer technology to the neediest of students. Our members also help schools through the creation of reward systems that motivate students to reach new heights, which also provide the teachers with an effective tool. We donate books to school libraries as well as stock single classrooms, creating quiet reading nooks for students. We have engaged in ‘one on one’ reading with youngsters at risk, and much more. Why? We firmly believe that education is a powerful equalizer that helps prevent future problems in our community, and have worked to do so for 89 years.
Please help us improve our community by attending and/or donating to our incredibly fun and delicious fundraiser…Lobster Fest. Enjoy lobster with drawn butter, shrimp, andouille sausage, corn, potatoes, artichokes, roasted garlic, loaves of French bread and more! We promise a great evening!
We hope to see you and your friends at our first Lobster Fest!
