Liz's Ride for Agape
Saturday, August 17, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM (CDT)
Agape, Harding Academy and Cirque du Velos (CdV) invite you to join us on August 17 for a charity bike ride is held in memory of Liz LaVelle. Liz LaVelle was the third child of Dr. David and Jenny LaVelle. She had a heart for Agape and attended Lipscomb University for studies to become a psychologist. Liz wanted to work at Agape and help foster care children with learning disabilities.
Liz passed away tragically a month after her 20th birthday while driving to Nashville to see her brother. CdV has renamed their annual race series the Liz LaVelle Memorial Series and identified the August 17 event as the charity ride.
10:00 AM - All are invited to attend and participate in the ride. Experienced and inexperienced riders, young and old alike are welcome. However, riding is optional.
11:30 AM - We will have a fun family celebration event, which will include music, food, and bounce houses, among other activities!
12:15 PM - A race JUST for Kids! This short race will be a chance for kids of all ages to be involved in this special day.
1:15 PM - We will hold a brief ceremony to honor the LaVelle family, and remember Liz and her heart for orphan care.
