About this event

Join Lauren Meltzer, MA of the Center for Children and Youth, a division of Jewish Family and Children's Services, for Loving your Highly Sensitive Child.

If your child experiences the world with more intensity, gets overstimulated easily, or has a hard time adjusting to new situations, it might be more than simple growing pains; you may have a highly sensitive child. About 15-20% of people are highly sensitive, and how they are treated in the early years can make a significant difference in how they view themselves later in life. With acceptance and nurturing, highly sensitive children can grow up to be our creatives, our empaths, and our leaders.

This two-part workshop will help you:

• Gain more understanding of what high sensitivity looks like as children grow up .

• Discover some tools needed to navigate your child’s complex world.

• Become aware of your own triggers to help sustain effective parenting of your highly sensitive child.

• Learn how to advocate for your child.

• Connect with a community of parents wrestling with similar issues.

Fee is $90.

Registration ends 30 minutes before the event, and the link for these workshops will be emailed at that time.

This workshop will NOT be recorded.
