Event description

Description

Please join the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA), and the Lycoming County Government for a day-long event, “Living with Water: The Future of Flood Insurance”, on Monday, August 27th at Williamsport Trade & Transit II from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Participants are eligible for continuing education credits.*

Throughout the day, federal, state and local officials, alongside experts from the private and non-profit sectors, will discuss flood risk in Pennsylvania, ways to increase flood insurance coverage throughout the Commonwealth, and barriers keeping property-owners from taking steps to protect themselves and their investments.

Activities will include a roundtable discussion between participants, government officials and representatives from the insurance, real estate and banking industries. We'll brainstorm ideas and concrete actions we can take to help increase insurance coverage and support communities in the face of flooding.

Please RSVP at this Eventbrite link no later than Monday, August 20th, or contact us at terence.milstead@ogilvy.com. We hope to see you on the 27th of August!

*This event has been approved by ASFPM for 4.5 credits.

*This event has also been authorized for 4 continuing education credits for insurance agents that stay for the whole event.
