Description

Is your chronic illness or pain condition overtaking your life, leaving you depressed, anxious, and isolated? Are you grieving the life you led before your diagnosis? Attend this ongoing monthly coping skills group for those affected by chronic pain and illness to learn strategies to improve quality of life and meet others facing similar challenges. We will explore different facets of pain and coping each month, including mindfulness meditiation, energy healing, essential oils, educating family and friends, stressful thinking patterns, enjoying the lives we have, and pacing and scheduling, Open to all affected by pain, including caregivers. Led by Maureen Fitzmaurice, Licensed Professional Counselor and chronic pain warrior. Hope to see you there!

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The counseling office is in an old home in historic downtown Matteson. We have plenty of free street parking on 216th Street and around the corner.
