Overview

A day of talks, workshops, and stalls for those who care for people with learning disabilities and want to best support them as they age.

Living Well - Growing Older with Learning Disabilities

Do you work with, or care for, people with learning disabilities and are keen to give them the best support as they enter their older years? Would you like to improve your knowledge, skills and understanding of supporting people with their physical and well being needs as they age? The Surrey and Borders Community Teams for Learning Disabilities are hosting an exciting and innovative event that will equip you with all you need!

Join us at Normandy Village Hall to discover unique experiences using up to date technology to see the world through the eyes of an older person with learning disabilities; understand the health needs associated with growing older and how to support people to get their needs met; learn from specialist practitioners in how to meet peoples needs in staying active, eating and drinking safely, stimulating environments and incorporating music and movement into people’s daily routine.

Lunch will not be provided, however stalls will be able to be browsed during the lunch break.
