Event description

Description

Would you like to learn about 200 years of Canadian History all in one place? Join us as the grounds of the Backus-Page House Museum fill with reenactors covering history from 1750 to 1950. Enjoy food, shopping with historic suttlers, displays, performers and military demonstrations. This year’s event will focus on the role of Canada in the First World War – The Great War. We will also present the music of “Tethera” with songs of the early 20th Century. Take a tour of our historic 1850 home, as we feature glassware presented by Glassfax and our special “I Am Canadian”, and exhibits of “Travel in the Time of Confederation” and the “Mother of Confederation – Queen Victoria”.

While you are there, you may also want to enjoy all the walking trails that are part of the picturesque John E. Pearce Provincial Park.
