Event description

Description

Contemplative Outreach of Boston is hosting Fr. Michael Holleran in a day of reflection. Fr. Holleran states, “Living ecstatically - most people seek ecstasy in some form, often in ways that are superficial or dangerous. The urge is understandable, since we are created in the Image of a God who is Ecstasy. Come and learn how to live an ecstatic life in the most exhilarating and authentic way! Our guide and inspiration will be Beatrice Bruteau, in her book: God’s Ecstasy: The Creation of a Self-Creating World.

------

Fr. Holleran is a Catholic priest, Sensei (Zen Teacher) and a former Carthusian Monk.

He is a follower and advocate of what his friend, the internationally renowned theologian of interfaith understanding, Prof. Paul Knitter, calls “double belonging.” ( www.michaelkholleran.org )

Fr. Holleran has founded and led Centering Prayer groups in each of his last three parishes, including his current one, Notre Dame, in the Morningside Heights neighborhood of Manhattan.
