The world is full of color. But can we color our world more sustainably?
Of interest to textile traders, designers, social entrepreneurs, policy makers, and cross-cultural enthusiasts, learn more about how old ways of knowing in natural dyeing are contributing to sustainable innovations that directly benefit Indian, Chinese, and Indigneous Australian communities.
A one-day event, the Living Blue Oz symposium brings together for the first time top designers from China, India, and Indigenous Australia, who are exploring natural dyeing, innovation, and sustainable design. Speakers include:

Will this event be academic?
All presentations will be designed to appeal to a general audience.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Note that there are limited parking options available at Swinburne University. We suggest taking public transportation. The campus is approximately a one minute walk from Glenferrie station. Belgrave, Lilydale and Alamein train lines from the city travel to Glenferrie station in 10 minutes.
Tram No.16 Kew to St Kilda Beach stops on Glenferrie Road, where shops, food outlets and ATMs are also located.
Bus No. 624 Kew-Chadstone – Oakleigh (via Carnegie), travels along Auburn Rd about a 10 minute walk to Campus.
Will there be food provided?
Yes, the event will provide morning coffee, lunch, and afternoon tea.
