Lividly .1
Event Information
About this event
Lividly .1 is a dance theater piece made by queer artists and is the first half of a 2 part performance series with live music created by FluxFlow Dance Project and Counterfeit Madison. The performance will explore queer shame—its bruises, furies, and blueness—with humor and resilience through the lens of 4 queer performers. What shame do we share? What can we learn from the shame we don’t share? Can performing shame work towards transforming and transcending it?
This performance is possible thanks to the incredible support of the Flux + Flow Dance and Movement Center community, Virtue Vegan Salon, and the Greater Columbus Arts Council. This performance will address mature themes and viewer discretion is advised.
Performed by: FluxFlow Dance Project co-founders Russell Lepley (he/him) and Filippo Pelacchi (they/them), Counterfeit Madison creator Sharon Udoh (she/her) and collaborator Sam Johnson.
This production is a part of a series. Part 2, premiering July 29-31 at the Columbus Dance Theater, will explore the same themes and be composed of a diverse and intergenerational cast of 18 performers from the Flux + Flow Dance and Movement Center community.
