Event description

Description

Join LiveWELL Lancaster County to continue the conversation about social determinants of health by focusing on housing. Monica McCurdy, Vice President of Healthcare Services at Project HOME, will be sharing about Project HOME's journey from a short-term emergency winter shelter in 1989 to providing comprehensive services for people experiencing homelessness in Philadelphia.

A panel of local housing experts will be leading a discussion on how housing needs are being addressed in Lancaster County and how we can grow to meet additional needs. Panel participants include Vanessa Philbert - CAP, Jen Koppel - Coalition to End Homelessness, Andrew Szalay - Habitat for Humanity, Brittany Mellinger – LHOP, and Todd Capitao - Tabor. Panel will be moderated by Rod Redcay – REAL Life Community Services.

The goal of Learning Labs is to explore what Lancaster and similar communities are doing to promote positive change. As a follow up to the Health Summit, our current focus of Learning Labs are social determinants of health.
