Context

In response to EU citizens increasingly use of digital tools to learn and apply for jobs, the European Commission has developed a new digital infrastructure for the use of digitally-signed credential in Europe.

The Europass Digital Credentials Infrastructure (EDCI) is a set of standards, services, and software, which enable learners, employers, education and training providers to issue, store, and verify the authenticity and the validity of legal digital-credentials in Europe. It is an integral part of the new Europass launched in July 2020.

Programme

The Europass Team of DG EMPL is organising a live webinar to present the European Digital Credential Infrastructure(EDCI). The webinar will :

present EDCI and its benefits, as well as an overview of the policy context around EDCs,
highlight some of its key technical features of EDCI,
present the early adopters' programme, designed to support organisations in integrating EDC to their digital ecosystem.

The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.

Speakers

The webinar will be held with various speakers from the European Commission and the Europass Team.

Who Should Attend?

The webinar is open to organisations interested in issuing, storing or receiving digitally-signed credentials. This includes software companies designing student information systems, learning management systems, e-portfolios or human resource management systems.
