Event description

Learn about free and customizable open source resources for the adult education classroom.

Join the U.S. Department of Education’s Power in Numbers initiative and LINCS Professional Development Center for a live webinar to learn about using open educational resources (OER) to improve learning outcomes. For the past year, Power in Numbers has been working with 33 educators from 24 states to curate and design OER for adult math. Our team will delve into how OER can serve the unique needs and learning styles of your adult students, and what you need to know to start using OER in your classroom.

Brooke Istas, instructor of mathematics for Cowley College and Power in Numbers user group member, will discuss how educators can discover, adapt, and apply OER resources. She will share insights on which platforms and communities to join for exploring OER, as well as recommendations for integrating these resources into teaching plans.

We hope you can tune in on June 14th!

Webinar Log-in: WebEx information will be included in the registration confirmation email.
