Andrew Krystopolski is a native of Wilmington, Delaware. He is a 2005 graduate of Marywood University in Scranton, PA. He earned a degree in Sacred Music and studied organ with Mark Laubach. He has also studied choral conducting with Robert Herrema and Jack Burnam. Since 2010, Mr. Krystopolski has been the Director of Music and Organist at Historic St. George’s Episcopal Church, in Schenectady’s Stockade District. From 2002-2009, Andrew was on the Music Staff for the Royal School of Church Music Summer Choir Course in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Andrew has sung with many choirs and has traveled throughout the US and parts of Europe on singing tours.
Andrew has been a featured performer at Proctors Theater on “Goldie”, the Mighty Wurlitzer Theatre Pipe Organ. Andrew is a member of the Association of Anglican Musicians, American Choral Directors Association, and the Sub-Dean for the Eastern NY Chapter of The American Guild of Organists. Andrew is also the Assistant Director and Accompanist for the Festival Celebration Choir, a 60 voice Ecumenical Community Choir in Albany.
In his life outside of choral/organ/church music, Andrew is a diehard polka fan. He was raised on the music and it is in his DNA. He sings in Polish, plays the accordion and concertina, and loves to dance. He has performed for the International Polka Association and has been a guest with many polka bands throughout the country. He is also the co-host of a polka radio show on the internet. And just for the fun of it, Andrew is also a Pampered Chef Consultant!
