Live on Fulton St: Anna Badkhen

Greenlight is delighted to host Anna Badkhen, praised as “a stunning and sensitive chronicler of our collective condition” (Imani Perry), for her new essay collection. In Bright Unbearable Reality, Badkhen addresses the human condition in an era of unprecedented dislocation, contemplates the roles of memory and wonder in how we relate to one another, and asks how we can soberly and responsibly counter despair and continue to develop—or at least imagine—an emotional vocabulary against depravity. Greenlight welcomes Badkhen to our Fort Greene events stage to celebrate a momentous release, complete with a live reading, conversation, and audience Q&A.
