About this event
Greenlight is honored to host the book launch of The Farewell Tour, a novel by our friend and neighbor, Stephanie Clifford. The Farewell Tour is a full-throated ballad for the West’s forgotten women. Clifford, a reporter for almost a decade at The New York Times and now an investigative journalist for a range of magazines, brings her reporter’s skills to conjure the rich and complex story of legendary country singer Lillian Waters, aka Lena Thorsell. Weaving a mesmerizing fictional portrait of one woman’s creativity, ambition, and sacrifices in a business made for men, Clifford asks if we can ever be free of our true history. Clifford, whose first novel was a Times bestseller and editors' choice, is joined by Jessica Silver-Greenberg for an evening you won't want to miss.
