Event description

Description

Enjoy a delightful evening of solo piano music presented by two engaging composers and performers. Meet the artists and learn the stories behind their music. CD's and sheet music will be available for purchase and autographing.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. As concerts can be a delightful family experience, we are pleased to offer free admission to children 12 and under accompanied by a parent. However, given the intimate nature of the event, we do ask parents to insure that their children sit quietly throughout the performance.

NOTE: PianoWorks is located in Duluth across from the Publix shopping center at the intersection of Buford Highway and Old Peachtree Road.

George Skaroulis

George Skaroulis has been playing piano since the age of 5. George is a Greek American Pianist and his Chopin-styled, gentle ambient music has been embraced by romantics, spa industry professionals, surgeons and teachers, as well as the Atlanta Humane Society to calm anxious pets waiting for adoption. George’s music has also been featured in various PBS documentaries, and his version of Sting’s song "Fragile" was named one of the top 50 new age solo piano compositions by ReviewsNewAge.com. His Christmas CD Season Traditions was awarded one of the top holiday albums by SoloPiano.com.

George’s latest album SHINE features original compositions as well as classic cover originally performed by Roberta Flack, Bonnie Raitt, Sam Smith, and music from the award-winning film LaLa Land. George continues to perform benefit concerts for various charities and organizations. This holiday season on Dec 6th, George will be performing a benefit concert at the Ritz Carlton at Lake Oconee where all proceeds will benefit the Playground Project for M.E. Lewis Sr. Elementary School in Sparta, GA. Additionally, George shares his passion for cooking as a part time chef for Piedmont Cancer Wellness Center in Atlanta.
