About Monkey Hill

Our Story…..

Our music is undeniably steeped in the blues, whether it is Chicago, Delta or Piedmont it is about a feeling and a place in time. Monkey Hill takes these flavors and drops them in the blender and pours out a wide variety of tunes taking you to the places you used to go.

The Spartanburg Herald-Journal says Monkey Hill “offers a muscular mix of old school blues”. Our set lists are a melting pot of blues with original tunes, Allman Brothers, Freddie King and Los Lobos to name a few.

At the end of the day we are five friends that share s common thread, a love of music, love for our region and putting smiles on the faces of our crowds. See you next time!

Bikes have a huge impact on a community’s access to a variety of services, resources, and economic opportunities. globalbike uses marketing research to help partners keep rental prices affordable, yet profitable. Our goal is to maximize use of these bikes by customers of all income levels. The results have improved small business incomes and boosted service economies, including improved access to healthcare, prevention services, and long-term care for chronic illnesses such as HIV/AIDS.

globalbike helps our partners work toward financial sustainability. We use marketing research to understand local economies, then bring customized support and training to help our partners reach development milestones and long-term sustainability.

local ownership

globalbike supports women’s groups in accessing capital to establish large scale bike rental and repair businesses and in developing business models that thrive independent of charity. Their rental business brands, marketing, capital, and ownership stay in their hands.
