Event Details

They soar, they swoop, and they rule the skies. Join senior avian education volunteers at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, with their LIVE cast of Birds of Prey for a look at the life history of these majestic birds.  In this program, they will illustrate aspects of predator-prey relationships, adaptations that ensure success as predators, and their role in maintaining healthy, balanced ecosystems.  The basic natural history of each species is also discussed along with the impact of humans on their habitats and populations.

Pre-registration is required.

Recommended for all ages.

UF/IFAS Extension Pinellas County at Weedon Island Preserve Cultural and Natural History Center offers a variety of educational and interpretive programs for the public. Center programs interpret the natural, cultural and archaeological history of the Preserve to demonstrate how the environment and people support and shape each other.

 

 CENTER HOURS: Thursday-Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

NEW! Sunday 11:00 a.m - 4:00 p.m.
