About this event
Through the generosity of Frank ('78) and Cindy Liu, the Liu Distinguished Visitor Series has allowed the Chao Center to host a number of dynamic speakers. This event in the series will feature Dr. Kai-Fu Lee.
Dr. Kai-Fu Lee has an extensive background in tech and artificial intelligence, including his current role as CEO and Chairman of Sinovation Ventures, as well as President of Sinovation Venture's Artificial Intelligence Institute. Founded in 2009 by Dr. Lee, Sinovation Ventures is a leading technology venture capital firm managing over $2 billion AUM with over 350 portfolio companies across China's tech presence.
Dr. Lee has served in executive positions at Google, Microsoft, SGI, and Apple. He attended Columbia University and Carnegie Mellon University, where he earned his bachelors in Computer Science and Ph.D respectively, as well as earning Honorary Doctorate Degrees from City University of Hong Kong and Carnegie Mellon.
In 2013, Dr. Lee was ranked as one of the 100 most influential people globally by Times Magazine. He has authored a number and variety of patents, journals, conference papers, and best selling books.
