LA Commons will host the second annual Found LA: Festival of Neighborhoods. This year’s theme “Discovering the Secret Heart of Los Angeles” invites participants to move beyond historic sites and surface structures to showcase the significance that lies rooted in storefronts, shops, and gathering places in their communities. Supporting local community leaders in sharing what ties them to their neighborhoods.

Artist Nancy Uyemura has lived more than half her life on the edge of Little Tokyo in what is now called the Artists District. She has exhibited her work throughout the U.S. and parts of Asia and has a number of public commissions in her list of accomplishments, two of which are in Little Tokyo. In a walking tour she will share some of her favorite places as well as some stories about historic Little Tokyo and the Artists District with tips on where to eat, pray, play and meet-up with friends. Come and find out what’s tied her to this unique neighborhood.
